Meet the owner, Stephanie, and learn about her journey to beginning Coherency.

I’m a New York native now happily settled in sunny California. Shortly after moving to the west coast, I transitioned from the public school system into private practice, where I discovered my passion for working closely with children and their families. When the pandemic shifted therapy into homes, what initially felt like a challenge turned out to be a turning point. Providing in-home sessions revealed how transformative it is to support children in their natural environments — where they feel most comfortable, understood, and connected. I loved witnessing the whole family’s involvement and the collective investment in each child’s growth. That same insight came when I began providing services in school settings. I’ve found that when therapy happens where children live, learn, and play, collaboration flows naturally, progress happens organically, and the connection we build extends far beyond the traditional provider–client relationship.
